Summary
Hangul Metro is a Korean-language learning app. It does not require an account and the reviewed app code contains no advertising, analytics, or developer-operated server. The app does not send learning selections or progress to the developer. Learning selections are held in memory while the app is running; the reviewed code does not save them to a database or cloud account.
Some features communicate with third-party services. Google Fonts may receive a request to provide the app's typeface, and Korean text used for pronunciation is passed to the text-to-speech engine configured on your device. Details are below.
Information and services
Google Fonts
The app uses the Google Fonts Flutter package to display Plus Jakarta Sans. If the font is not already cached or otherwise available, the package can request font resources from Google over HTTPS. The request includes the device's IP address and technical request information needed to deliver the font. Google's explanation of Google Fonts API privacy practices is available in its Google Fonts privacy statement. Google's general data practices are described in its Privacy Policy. Google handles information it receives under its own terms and policies.
Korean text-to-speech
When you use pronunciation for a phrase or station name, the app passes the text to the Korean text-to-speech engine selected on your device. The engine may process the text on the device or send it to its provider, depending on the engine, device settings, and network connection. Hangul Metro does not control that engine's processing or security practices. Please review the terms and privacy information for your selected speech service. Audio clips for Hangul letters are included in the app and are played locally.
Device permissions and access
The Android app requests internet access, which is used by the Google Fonts package when it needs font resources, and vibration access for optional haptic feedback. Android package visibility is declared so the app can discover text-to-speech services. The reviewed Android manifest does not request access to location, contacts, camera, microphone, or user files. The app does not record speech or use the microphone.
Storage, sharing, and retention
The developer does not receive learning progress through a developer-operated server. The app does not maintain user accounts or a personal-data database. Learning selections remain in app memory while the app runs and are cleared when that session ends. The developer does not sell personal information or use it for advertising. When the third-party features described above are used, Google Fonts or the selected speech engine/provider may receive the relevant request or speech text. Those providers handle information under their own privacy policies and retention practices.
Because the developer does not maintain user accounts or a personal-data store for this app, there is no developer-side account deletion or personal-data deletion process. For information sent to Google Fonts or a speech provider, use the privacy controls and contact options provided by those services.
Children
Hangul Metro is intended for users aged 13 and older and is not intended for children under 13. The app has no account system, ads, or analytics in the reviewed source. Any future change to these practices will be reflected in this policy and the relevant Play Console disclosures.
Changes to this policy
If the app's data practices change, this policy will be updated. The effective date above will be revised when an updated policy is published.
